I thought this portrait from Dorothea Lange was deep in meaning. Sometimes we really do not acknowledge how much we have compared to other people in the world. To me this picture portraits poverty and unhappiness. As we see there clothe look like rags and not so much fancy clothe. The black and white also give this picture a stronger feeling. We see a frustrated expression on the mothers face. There is a frown and not a smile, in which expresses a negative feeling for her. This photograph also expresses her children hiding behind their mother. It is sad when kids are not happy. They don't live to have fun but they live to try to survive. Dorothea Lange was an influential documentary photographer during the Great Depression. Much of her photography makes you think about your life and be thankful you have what you do, instead of nagging for what you don't have.
