I am on chapter 7 in tutorials, it takes me longer because i read through everything just to make sure i understood things. I also like to focus on one specific thing at a time. I like to focus on what i do and make sure its done right. Quality over quantity.
What: I am going to shoot a silhouette photo with geometric shapes.
Where: I am shooting on campus. How long: I will be out for 15-20 minutes. 1. I liked that its original and the graphics are cool.
2. Nothing i love it the way it came out. 3. Working under pressure makes things look better. 4.What i like about photoshop is the editing of photos. This photo taken by Erik Johansson is very interesting because of his imagination. He expresses his form of "Don't look back" very strong. He combines these two photos nicely because many people can relate on not wanting to look back at their past. There is also a one point perspective ahead of the girl which gives the picture a look of a new road ahead. This photo also contains asymmetrical balance for which there is a tree only on one side of the photo. This photo also has a lot of texture on the ground as well as the grass and trees. It makes this image strong because everything connects perfectly.
I took this photo for our silhouette project. I liked the setting of the photo because you have the silhouette of the girl but also the silhouette of the mountains in the background. It also adds an effect that the photo was taken on a cloudy day because the sky is not plain. There is effect on the shape of the clouds and also different colors reflected on the lower half and upper half of the pictures.
This photo by Frans Lanting is interesting because he uses a lot of elements. Like texture on the plants from the bottom to top. There is also geometric shape on the top of the stems. The water also has a regular pattern of tin waves. The stems have line from root to top. I thought this portrait from Dorothea Lange was deep in meaning. Sometimes we really do not acknowledge how much we have compared to other people in the world. To me this picture portraits poverty and unhappiness. As we see there clothe look like rags and not so much fancy clothe. The black and white also give this picture a stronger feeling. We see a frustrated expression on the mothers face. There is a frown and not a smile, in which expresses a negative feeling for her. This photograph also expresses her children hiding behind their mother. It is sad when kids are not happy. They don't live to have fun but they live to try to survive. Dorothea Lange was an influential documentary photographer during the Great Depression. Much of her photography makes you think about your life and be thankful you have what you do, instead of nagging for what you don't have. http://www.historyplace.com/unitedstates/lange/ |
